Habitat For Humanity of NE GA was created to demonstrate the love of God. And, since our inception in 1986, we have remained devout in our mission of putting God’s love into action. We serve as God’s hands and feet, and are here to serve others and show them His love by working to bring people together to build homes, strengthen communities and instill hope.
Our service to community in God’s name creates a natural bond between Habitat for Humanity of NE GA and that of the church – Christ’s body in this world, so it’s natural that the church would be a primary partner in Habitat’s work.
Churches are essential in grounding the work of Habitat in the gospel message and uplifting the ministry of Habitat in prayer. The most successful Habitat For Humanity affiliates are those with the strongest church support, and churches have proven to be Habitat’s most reliable and long-term partners.
By partnering with Habitat, it’s an opportunity for a church to live out their ministry, engage their congregation and see the miracle that occurs when God touches the hearts of our Partner Families and the dedicated volunteers who work alongside them. And in partnership, churches use their faith as a catalyst to serve and partner with Habitat in helping to raise walls, funds, and prayers to build a local Partner Family’s Habitat Home.
How can your church and congregation partner with Habitat to help us fulfill our mission of putting God’s love into action?
First and foremost, we ask that you keep Habitat, our Partner Families and volunteers in your prayers.
Volunteer: Our Habitat Homes are built entirely by volunteers. No experience necessary as all – individuals and groups, are always welcome.
Make A Financial Contribution: Help provide funding towards a home build. No amount is too small and all donated funds will go directly towards the construction of a Partner Family’s Habitat Home.
Prepare and serve meals or bring refreshments to volunteers – whether it be at our ReStore or at a Build Site. Its hard work doing what they do!
Provide in-kind goods and services (For example, a plumber in your congregation might volunteer to do the plumbing work on a Habitat house).
In the end, no matter how your church partners with Habitat For Humanity of NE GA, we are certain that a difference will be made in the lives of our Partner Families, volunteers and that of your congregation.
